"Water Polo Chaos: Wedding Skirts, Seals, and Mermaid Pancakes!"

Last night I dreamt that I signed up for waterpolo lessons but when I showed up I had forgotten to put on a swim suit and was instead wearing the big white skirt that I wore in my reoccurring wedding dreams 20 years ago! 💀
Then I went down a water slide with a seal and the lifeguard gave me a pancake, but when I tried to feed the pancake to the seal the lifeguard said, “no! That’s for the mermaids!”

Dreams often incorporate personal symbols and feelings, and your dream is rich with imagery that may reflect various aspects of your subconscious.

  1. Waterpolo Lessons: Trying to learn a new skill like water polo might symbolize a desire to tackle challenges or pursue new experiences. Water often represents emotions and the subconscious, so engaging in a water sport could suggest that you’re diving into your emotional depths or facing your feelings.

  2. Forgotten Swim Suit: Forgetting your swim suit might indicate feelings of vulnerability or inadequacy. The swim suit is typically associated with preparation and comfort in water; thus, forgetting it could suggest a fear of being ill-prepared for a situation in your life.

  3. Wedding Skirt: The big white skirt from your recurring wedding dreams may symbolize long-held beliefs or societal expectations concerning relationships, commitment, or personal identity. This could point to unresolved feelings about romantic commitments or past experiences related to those themes.

  4. Water Slide and Seal: Going down a water slide can represent a sense of adventure and letting go. The seal, often viewed as a playful and intelligent animal, may symbolize fun or a carefree attitude. This could reflect your desire for joy or playfulness amidst the seriousness represented by the wedding dress.

  5. Pancake and Mermaids: The pancake could represent something nurturing or comforting, as it is often seen as a basic comfort food. The lifeguard telling you that it’s for the mermaids introduces a playful, mystique element. Mermaids, often symbols of allure and emotional depth, might indicate a longing for the enchanting or the fantastical aspects of life. This could suggest that nurturing and comfort should be allocated to more elusive or emotional aspects of yourself rather than attempting to feed the practicalities of life.

Overall, your dream could reflect a battle between your yearning for new experiences and your lingering attachments to past expectations and identities. It may be calling you to confront your emotions and desires, reminding you to embrace both the serious and whimsical sides of yourself.
